Join Up
The Former Texas Rangers Foundation was organized to support the mission of the Former Texas Rangers Association, a 113-year-old organization consisting exclusively of Texas Rangers and their descendants dedicated to preserving Texas Ranger history. The Foundation organizers shared a strong desire to provide the necessary support to this group of dedicated, retired Texas Rangers and their families. Their vision and dedication with the creation of the Former Texas Rangers Foundation allows for individuals and corporations to join the ranks of these Texas Rangers by supporting Texas Ranger history with membership opportunities through the Foundation. And now, with our variety of memberships, everyone can join up with the Rangers and be a part of preserving Texas Ranger history. I hope that you will consider enlisting with us.
Our Project
The current focus of the Former Texas Rangers Foundation is to provide Texans and visitors to the Lone Star state the opportunity to experience first-hand the history, the philosophy and the life experiences of one of Texas’ oldest institutions – the Texas Rangers – through the Texas Rangers Heritage Center. Currently under construction, this interactive complex of Texas Ranger history, the Heritage Center will soon provide both the Foundation and Association with the opportunity to host seminars and educational programs, house a complete library of Ranger archives, host permanent and traveling exhibits of Ranger artifacts and provide an important educational experience with the seven interactive timeline exhibits that tell the story of the Texas Rangers beginning in 1823 and ending with today’s Texas Rangers. A trust testament to Texas Ranger history, the Heritage Center will be the only comprehensive complex of its kind accessible to visitors throughout the year.
Stay A While
I hope that you will take some time and learn about the Former Texas Rangers Foundation, our rich history and our efforts to preserve this history for future generations. As a retired Texas Ranger, I would like to personally invite you to pull up a chair, look through our site and stay a while. Like the Texas Rangers, we’ll be here when you need us and now, we need your help to join us by becoming a part of that special breed known as the Texas Rangers.
Thank you for your interest and I look forward to your support.
